Make it From Scratch Carnival!
I am pleased to present this week’s Make it From Scratch Carnival entries!
This week’s entries span a wide range of topics, but I have organized them into two categories:
Summer Fun:
- Fimby provided a recipe for Homemade Laundry Soap–what better way to have good, clean, summer fun?
- The Sojourner wins the award for most creative post with pictures of a Recycled Newspaper Purse.
- ChezArtz came up with an easy way to make Zero Waste Wrapping Paper by dying play silks with beets.
- How to Me provided instructions for making a Birthday Tablecloth.
- If you’re brave enough to undertake these sewing projects, Patchwork of Life posted about making a Finger Pincushion.
- Stop the Ride shows you how to support your green thumb and your tomatoes by Making a Tomato Trellis.
- Happy Hearts At Home shows you how to save water by collecting rain in a Homemade Rain Water Barrel.
Good Eats
- Novel Experiences tempted us all with a recipe for Homemade Bagels, Mmmmmmm is right!
- Modern Beet, all I can say about this fabulous recipe for Hot and Spicy Pickled Eggs is, “Where were you at Easter?!”
- Y-2K Hippie provided some fun recipes for jam, cream cheese, and shampoo, all of which she made while her folks visited…Whew!
- A High & Noble Calling posted an easy recipe for Southwestern Rice Salad that is sure to please!
- Menu Maker Mom shared a recipe for Tortillas that sounds both simple and delicious.
- Cockatoo Dreaming reminds us that Fido needs to eat too! Here’s a recipe for Feeding the Dogs.
- Summer’s Nook wants us all to experience Death by Chocolate and so she posted a fabulous recipe for Molten Chocolate Cake!
- One Krusty Mama shared a recipe to help you savor a Beef Roast with Tatoes and Carrots.
- Vanilla Joy provided a delicious Scotcheroos Recipe for us all to enjoy.
Next week’s Make it From Scratch Carnival will be hosted by Laura Williams’ Musings–don’t forget to check it out!
